ISIS Earns ISO 9001:2008 certification
ISIS is proud to announce our ISO 9001:2008 Certification as of March 2009!  ISO 9001:2008 is an internationally recognized family of Quality Management System (QMS) standards developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

In order to receive the certification, ISIS implemented a QMS that is designed to continually improve performance while enhancing customer satisfaction.  ISIS’ QMS embraces seven quality management principles upon which the standard is based, including:  customer focus, continual improvement, leadership, involvement of people, process approach, system approach to management, and a factual approach to decision making.  Certification to ISO 9001:2008 reinforces to customers through an independent third-party that ISIS operates a QMS in accordance with the standard.

ISIS is excited to achieve this certification because it confirms our commitment to “continuously improve the quality of our services as measured by client satisfaction.”  This is not a catch phrase, but is truly how business is done.

ISIS customers can rest assured that the services provided by ISIS are designed and executed in accordance with the same high standards of quality implemented by some of the largest and most highly respected companies in the world!

In so doing, the company is better positioned to serve its three core constituencies: US government contracts, US/Mexico border-state assignments, and mission-critical work in Africa and the Middle East.
Currently, ISIS handles numerous government contracts out of its east coast headquarters in the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington DC. To support these ever growing efforts, the company has added a much-needed office situated along the Virginia beltway near Tyson Corners.
For its security work for companies doing business along the United States and Mexican border and in Mexico and Central America, ISIS has multiple locations. These include the company’s original office outside of Fort Huachuca in Sierra Vista, Arizona, which is now augmented by strategically placed offices in El Paso, Texas and Juarez, Mexico.
Key to the Border States operation is the new ISIS Tactical Training Center, complete with a fully functional Mexican border village. Located 30 minutes outside of El Paso, “The Ranch” provides various government agencies and private companies with invaluable tactical, SWAT, driving, combat medical, weapons and immersion training.
Serving a similar purpose for ISIS clients in Africa and the Middle East is the company’s new office and international staging compound in Kampala, Uganda. This contract will serve as a key vehicle for INL in implementing civilian police (CIVPOL) and criminal justice assistance programs overseas, both as contributions to broader international peacekeeping missions (i.e. "multilateral missions")and as stand-alone U.S. missions (i.e. "bilateral missions.")  This contract builds on a similar outgoing INL contract and incorporates evolving U.S. requirements and methodologies in the field of international civilian police and criminal justice assistance.

For multilateral missions, INL provides - or "seconds" - U.S. civilian police and criminal justice personnel to a larger mission which has operational control.  This contract will serve as a mechanism for providing such personnel and supporting them in country as required.  Multilateral missions draw their mandate and authorities from UN Security Council resolutions and/or other international bodies.  Direction of such multilateral missions (including goals, areas of focus, timelines, and operational considerations) is handled by the relevant multilateral entity to which the U.S. support personnel, such as the UN, EU, or OSCE.  These multilateral missions may be focused solely on providing civilian police officers who provide law and order training or serve as law enforcement officers.  They may also focus solely on reform and development of criminal justice systems including the police, prosecution, defense, judicial, and corrections services.  Increasingly, such multilateral missions provide a combination of the above.  As a contributor to such missions, the U.S. (i.e. INL) plays a supporting role, not an operational leadership role.
